With a large family, my father worked hard, sometimes two or three jobs at a time, to pay the rent and put food on the table. My Mother seemed to work 24/7. From an early age, I dreamed of becoming a philanthropist. Well, I didn’t know what that meant at that time, but I had an idea. My sisters, brothers, and I would watch a show called The Millionaire, where a benefactor helped families struggling to make ends meet and strive for more, passing on their good fortune to help others.
The program followed unknown people who were given, seemingly out of nowhere, one million dollars. The benefactor—John Beresford Tipton—was depicted as a semi-retired industrialist, his face hidden by a high-backed chair. Viewers only saw his right arm as he handed over a cashier’s check for one million dollars to his executive secretary, a calm, practical man named Michael Anthony. Anthony’s job was to deliver the gift to the recipient and then, as a rule, withdraw from their life.
Like many other children, we were glued to that show. I truly believed I would become a Millionaire one day, giving away millions to ease others’ pain and bring happiness. But that didn’t happen. Life happens, and sometimes people around you doubt you—so you question yourself and turn towards giving up.
Some of us keep that dream buried, while others soar on a rising star, believe in themselves, and set out with courage to turn it into reality.
For this young dreamer, true solace wasn’t in wealth but in living freely, with spiritual depth and gratitude. I learned that abundance is ready for us all, a truth echoed in the Bible. With wisdom and strength, we plant seeds for an empowering harvest, and everyone can begin a life-changing journey to discover what abundance means to them—finding peace and contentment while lifting others to reach their own greatness. The seeds of empowerment took root, guiding me toward a transformative path.
Yes… Money helps on this earthly plane, but it is just another form of energy exchange. If not appreciated for its true value, it can make us unhappy. Look at the lonely, unhappy rich people out there. There are so many other energy exchanges we must hone.
